This Intro to Boxing: Online Fundamentals Series is designed for beginners and casual practitioners who want a clear, step-by-step breakdown of the essential techniques and training principles that make boxing such a powerful form of fitness and self-expression.

What You’ll Learn in This Series:

Over the next few weeks, we’ll walk you through:

  • The proper boxing stance and guard
  • Fundamental footwork drills to build agility and coordination
  • How to throw crisp, clean punches (jab, cross, hook, uppercut)
  • Defensive skills like slipping, rolling, and blocking
  • How to shadowbox and train on a heavy bag with structure
  • Boxing-specific conditioning routines
  • How to create your own workouts and routines

Whether you’re a total beginner or just brushing up on the basics, each lesson will come with tips, visuals, and drills to practice on your own. No gym? No problem. This series is all about making boxing accessible and effective, no matter your location or equipment.

What You’ll Need to Get Started:

  • Comfortable workout clothes and shoes
  • A mirror (helpful for shadowboxing form)
  • Jump rope (optional but encouraged)
  • Boxing gloves & hand wraps (recommended if you’ll be hitting a bag — shop gear here)
  • Most importantly: an open mind and a willingness to grow
